Please tip the nano help

This is not a formal "pledge drive," but times are bad in the House of 'Bot. If you value the service I provide, please consider hitting my tip jar. Thank you, fellow nano nuts!

I'm amazed at the time-consuming process of being treated like a piece of dirt in this new edge-of-poverty world I'm discovering. It's no wonder it's difficult for the poor to bootstrap themselves out of it. The hoops you're forced to jump through. Not feeling very humorous these days.

Being Poor is Expensive

There's a great deal of truth in that. If it were not my life we were talking about it, I could analyze it dispassionately. I guess there's some cliche I could rattle off about what doesn't kill you will make you stronger, but perhaps it's more like that ol' Karmic wheel. I lived the first 39 years of my life in suburban comfort. But we're also talking about my family, so it's back to banging my head against more brick walls until something breaks loose -- my head, or the wall.
