Disturbingly, a phone call to Dow Corning a few weeks back for a story led me to a flack who a) had no idea what dendrimers were and b) no idea what nanotechnology was. She treated me like I was the clueless one. Then again, Dow Corning's selling off their dendrimer patents now, aren't they? -- Charles Q. Choi
